Start With the Outcome
Our first question is simple: what do you need your people to be able to do after the training?
If an existing course already meets the requirement, we will say so. Where a tailored programme is more appropriate, we can adjust the skills covered, practical exercises, time allocated to tasks, sequence, trade combination, materials, group size and overall duration.
You may not need “a plumbing course”. You may need staff who can isolate supplies, make sound connections, replace certain components and know when to call a specialist. You may not need “a carpentry course”. You may need door hanging, locks, skirting and common maintenance tasks.
Training can stay in one trade or draw from plumbing and heating, tiling, plastering, carpentry, bricklaying, kitchen installation, domestic electrical skills and general property maintenance. Multi-skilled still needs enough time on each subject.
