The most interesting / useful parts of the course for me was generally learning that wiring is not difficult but requires careful planning and to work in a safe manner. I would recommend this course to others, the environment, the classroom and practical was excellent, informal and very instructive. The theory was clearly explained and easy to put into practice. All the tools and materials were always present. Well organised and easy to get straight into the tasks. What I like about the college is that you are taught by professional tradesmen who are passionate and create a great learning environment. Great course, great tutor, what more is there to say. The most interesting / useful parts of the course for me was in general learning a new skill. Tackling a useful skill that will enable me to be more self-efficient. I really enjoyed the effort and fiddliness of the wire stripping and fitting of the SWA cable, although labour intensive and I struggled, it gave me much respect and understanding. But, overall, each part was highly useful to me. I would recommend the course to others, gives great understanding. Allows for proper safety and installation works that would otherwise go potentially terribly wrong if most DIYed. Everyone helps everyone. It’s not just learning, its fun, doesn’t feel stressful or examined. Thanks, Dave, for giving me the confidence to do simple tasks and do it safely. It will benefit me greatly in the future, mush appreciated.

Wiring the lights was the best aspect of the course for me. I would recommend the course to others, it gives you a good base level understanding of electrics. It is good value for money. Instructor is very knowledgeable and helpful with understanding how everything works. What I like about the college is the environment, the people, the staff, facilities.

Lots of knowledge and skills to take away. Instructors are always there to help you out when needed. Overall, everything was interesting (sockets, switches, SWA, fans, hob, fuse box, etc). Staff very friendly and full of knowledge, very helpful.

The contents are very good to understand the overall principles how electrical systems work in homes. Both practical and theory lessons are sufficient to understand these principles. The instructor is very helpful and approachable to get support whenever I got stuck or confused on my works or task. The sufficient supply of materials to practice more was excellent. The most interesting / useful parts of the course for me was to understand about circuit types and wire sizes which plays vital role to prevent current overload and short circuit.

Plenty of materials / resources. Tutor has good knowledge and real-world experience, gives a baseline knowledge. Most useful/interesting for me was knowledge of socket and lighting circuits.

Yes, I would recommend this course to others, good value for money, very knowledgeable tutor who gave you the time to learn and gain confidence to be able to complete tasks yourself. What I like about the college is nice friendly atmosphere, instructors have excellent knowledge of the subject that they are teaching and are happy to pass on real life experiences to give you extra understanding. Minimal classroom time and maximum time on the tools.

I would recommend this course to others, great for anyone who wants to save money on DIY jobs at home and be sure they do them safely and correctly. Most interesting parts for me was learning about consumer units, SWA cable and fitting switches.

Having never touched any form of electrics, I found it all to be extremely interesting and useful. I would recommend this course to others; it gives a great understanding of the domestic electrics systems. What I like about the college is all the instructors are very friendly and experienced and always have time to help.

The facilities and instructors are great. They make you feel at ease and capable. As a woman I was anxious before attending but this was eased within seconds of being in the environment.
